I’m sure you will find them to be common sense, but we do share them in order to make sure everyone is on the same page. Your payment constitutes acceptance of the Boyero Tours Terms & Conditions.

OUR LEGAL AND COMMERCIAL NAMES:

Boyero Tours S.A is our legal name registered for taxes and legal representation in Costa Rica. Since 2025 we are using Boyero Travel as our commercial name and for communication with our clients.

We just want to be clear that both names refer to the same company.

RESCHEDULING & CANCELING TRIPS:

Boyero Travel, reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any portion of the itinerary due to Uncontrolled Natural Reasons or Disasters. In the event of such cancellation, those with pre-paid itineraries shall be notified as soon as possible and an alternate itinerary or full refund payments (when possible) will be given.
Boyero Travel, and participating agents are not responsible for any expenses incurred for non-refundable air tickets, equipment, medical costs, etc.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Boyero Tours, S.A. (doing business as Boyero Travel) and its owners, associates, agents, and employees are not responsible for any injury or theft that may occur as a result of services booked through the company."

We are not responsible for acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses which cause personal injury, cancellations, delays, or loss of life.

Changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of you, the client(s). If there is an additional cost associated with such a change you will be consulted and if approved via email or phone you will be responsible for that additional fee. We cannot be held liable for quarantine or delay in scheduled arrival or departure created by civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transit or hotel service, or damage to person or property in connection with any service. This also includes loss or damage of baggage, and/or any loss of services as a result of negligence on the part of the clients. With advance deposit to Boyero Travel, the depositor (and his or her travel companion(s)) therefore agree(s) to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICE:

Clients with significant health conditions or disabilities should notify Boyero Travel via email prior to their arrival in Costa Rica to ensure we can make necessary arrangements for special needs or emergency situations. This is due to the fact that clients may be in some remote places in Costa Rica at some time during their trip(s).
In certain circumstances, evacuation could be prolonged, difficult, expensive or impossible. Clients should take special care. In case of illness, hospital facilities for serious problems are excellent in Costa Rica. Boyero Travel assumes no liability for costs of evacuation or provision of medical care.
We strongly recommend that trip participants purchase short-term travel insurance covering baggage, accident, life, and trip cancellation. This insurance coverage is widely available in the U.S. and other countries. It is not available for purchase once the client has begun their travels.

TERMS:

1. All itineraries must be confirmed by full prepayment 90 days or more prior to Day 1 of the itinerary or immediately if the itinerary is confirmed within 90 days prior to Day 1. To confirm your itinerary when booking at least six months in advance, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required. Preferred payment method: Credit card payment via the ONVO payment system or bank deposit in the Boyero Tours, S.A. (doing business as Boyero Travel) account in Costa Rica. International Wire Transfer account information will be included on your invoice. A copy of your deposit should be emailed to hello@boyerotravel.com in order for us to put your guarantee into effect immediately.

2. In order to guarantee your custom itinerary we must receive full payment at least 90 days in advance of Day 1 of the custom itinerary.

3. No pets are allowed on our trips, unless requested during the planning period and confirmed by all vendors affected by the presence of the pet. You must inform Boyero Travel if you will be traveling with a service animal. Boyero Travel will not be responsible for the traveling, lodging, injuries, death, or any other expense related to pets traveling with the clients.

REFUNDS:

  • 25% of the total amount due is a non-refundable deposit and is required upon booking in order to confirm your itinerary.

  • Up to 75% of the total amount of your itinerary will be refunded if the itinerary is canceled 90 days before Day 1 of the itinerary, but please note that the total refund will depend on the amounts recuperated from the service providers.

  • If the cancellation is made between 89 and 7 days of Day 1 of the itinerary, the total refund will depend on the amounts recuperated from the service providers. If the cancellation is made within one week of Day 1 of the itinerary, there will be no refund (0%). There will be no refund (0%) if the client does not present himself or herself on time for the tours, and/or transportation provider, he or she will be considered a NO SHOW and will not be entitled to the service.

  • Credits are not given for services not used as scheduled in your itinerary.

  • Refunds are not available for unused lodging, meals, transportation, sightseeing trips, or tours for any reason. In other words, if the client does not present himself or herself on the day of the reservation for lodging, he or she will be considered a NO SHOW and will not be entitled to the service nor a refund.

  • In the case that a client anticipates difficulty presenting himself or herself for one or more of the prepaid reservations, it is the responsibility of the client to contact Boyero Travel immediately.

  • Whenever possible, we will arrange a substitution or change of date for the tour or other service.

  • Please keep in mind that the above NO SHOW policy is the standard with Costa Rican service providers, even with 48 hour notice, but some tour operators are willing to be flexible on a case-by-case basis.

CONDUCT:

Boyero Travel and its representatives reserve the right to disqualify any individual from a trip or tour if their behavior disrupts the operation of the trip or the enjoyment of other participants. Refunds will be dependent on the circumstances and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If a refund is granted, it is agreed that the refund will not cover any of the services provided before the reason for the disqualification.
